Hello there, my name is John and I am the creator of this site. One of the main reasons I started this site is to document the family time spent together as we enjoy exploring new places, getting away to attractions & theme parks or going to our favourite places. So the kids will be able to look back on all the fun adventures they had with us and have more than just a bunch of pictures – it will be a digital journal.
We are a family of 4 (Mom, dad, and 2 boys aged 8 and 13 currently) We have enjoyed going to Canada’s Wonderland for a number of years now and as the kids have grown older expanded to the theme parks within the US such as Cedar Point, Kings Island and most recently Carowinds. Along with yearly vacations to Florida to enjoy Disney, Universal and the various others parks, have allowed the kids to develop the thrill seeker within them. That is one of the reasons I called this “Coaster Kids” – in finding a catchy name for the site and one that was available. Don’t worry, it’s not just going to be roller coaster reviews and pics but all the various places we explore.
Couple of other reasons I started this site was for continuous development, I will be able to learn about running a website as well as improve my communication and writing. In addition, to have content to publish I will find places to go for the kids so we can get out there and explore – not just sit on the ipad or video games all the time.
Lastly, for those following along they can use this site as a resource to get some ideas or inspiration to try something new which we experienced. I plan to catalog the various adventures into sections so you can navigate to whatever interests you the most – outdoor, attractions, theme parks, etc
The site will be a work in progress as I learn and will develop over time.
